Hematocrit

Normal hematocrits of male (a) and female (b).  Blood is separated into plasma, erythrocytes, and a small amount of leukocytes and platelets, which rest on the erythrocytes.  The hematocrit measurement includes only the erythrocytes and does not measure the leukocytes and platelets.
